METHODOLOGY OF DEVELOPMENT COUNTERMEASURES FOR ABOLISHING TEH HAZARDOUS ROAD LOCATIONS ON STATE ROAD NETWORK IN SLOVENIA

The article presents and analyses the procedure for identification of hazardous locations on state road network in Slovenia, the procedure of data collecting and analysing traffic safety, and a more detailed procedure for preparing measures that would improve traffic safety on identified hazardous locations.

Based on several years of experiences of co-operation in the process of eliminating hazardous locations on state road network in Slovenia the article analyses the existing implemented procedure of Republic of Slovenia and compares it with implemented procedures in other countries. On the basis of the analysis advantages are presented, but first of all the article describes disadvantages and problems that all participants constantly deal with in the process of elimination of hazardous locations on Slovenian state road network.

At the end a proposal for improvement of the existing procedures in the process of reconstruction of hazardous locations is given based on the analysis of already established procedures at home and abroad.


XII. INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM IN OPATIJA CROATIA

Presentation was made together with dr. Tollazzi by our colleague Mr. Boštjan Kralj. At the same time there was also a presentation of PTV products called PTV VISION. In just two days there were more than 20 participants (mostly traffic engineers and planners) from Croatia and Macedonia. There was a special interest for the software came from Croatian experts (Institute for Civil Engineering Split and Rijeka). Especially we would like to point out planners from leading consulting firm in that region Promet Milenijum d.o.o.
